Gareth Bale Says

"Cristiano Ronaldo Is The Best Player In The World

"Obviously Cristiano Ronaldo for me is the best player in the world. He’s got everything as a footballer," says world's most expensive player

Gareth Bale says his new Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world
This comes despite the Welshman taking over the Portuguese star's mantle of world's most expensive player following his £86million move to Real Madrid.
"Obviously Cristiano Ronaldo for me is the best player in the world," Bale told BT Sport.
"He’s got everything as a footballer. And I’m going to be training with him and watching what he does and in games playing with him and learning off the best player."
"For me I can only see one way and that’s for me to improve. I’ve got a great manager, great coaches Zidane, the best of everything at Real Madrid and that’s exactly what I thought when they were interested and to have the best you are going to learn and become a better player.”
The PFA Player of the Year and BT Sport Ambassador also spoke about the expectations that come with being the world's most expensive player.
“I don’t really think about it. It was done between the two clubs. Daniel wanted an unbelievable deal for me to move because he thought I had a high value," he said.
"I understand everything that comes with me to Real Madrid and becoming a massive player, for me I have to take it in my stride and live my dream and play for the biggest and best team in the world.
“I know now I’m going to the next level in my career. It’s another game of football, I need to look at it in the same way as I did before and not get distracted by external pressure.  I don’t read the papers or go on the internet too much, I leant that when I was younger.
"For me now I’ve grown up a bit I just want to firmly concentrate on my life as a person, off the field, and on the field, purely focus on my football and I think for me that’s what I plan to do."
The 24-year-old former Spurs star also said he doesn't think he'll have problems settling into the team.
“You go in, you feel very unsettled, you don’t really know anyone. When I moved to Tottenham I knew absolutely nobody, but going to Madrid I know Luca Modric very well so hopefully he’ll help me settle in, there are a few who speak English like Ronaldo and Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso and the manager and the coach speak English.
"It will be lot easier then when I was younger, I’m a lot more experienced.  I know full well I’ll need to impress everybody and hopefully I do.”
